PostSubject: Pictures of Faceplate mod for vinyl Ellowyne   Mon Oct 15, 2012 3:41 am

An Ellowyne Wilde 'Feeling Drained' was used for this modification.
instead of opening the back of her head and making a removable cap, I gave Ell a face plate system. the whole face is attached by magnets and comes off leaving the head attached to the body. this type of system makes it very easy to change eyes and do new face painting.

pretty Elle repainted! (ignore the mess of my workspace in the background)

This photo shows the head back attached to the body, there are 4 magnets installed with epoxy, one on top, one under the chin and one behind each ear

This photo shows the inside of Ells Face-plate, the eyes are held in place with Mack Silicone putty. The eyes are much easier to install and position since you don't have to reach through a small hole in the back of the head.

The line across the top of her head is completely covered by her wig. The line under her chin follows her jawline and the shadow cast by wigs makes it barely noticeable.
